ALTRA is set up in South Vardar valley. This region has specific sub-Mediterranean climate and many sunny days trough the whole year. It is famous like center for production of fruit and vegetable. Annual production of fruits and vegetables is over 200.000 tones, that makes it very important part of agricultural production in Macedonia. South Vardar valley is also famous for big production of table and vine grapes.
